Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 6:
WILMOT PASS (10) Having third run back from a spell. Really dug deep when winning last start at Flemington and solid performer at this trip in the past. Looks well placed. SANTA CATARINA (3) Nice run when 3rd two runs back at Trentham and generally strong second up. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Suited. CONDO’S EXPRESS (5) Ended up 2.3l behind the winner at Bendigo last start on a good surface and resuming after a spell. Likely to get a nice run behind the speed. Very strong each way claims. TITAN BLINDERS (7) Peaked on the run when 2nd last time at Caulfield and should jump out and bowl along. Could run into the money

Race 7:
POLLY GREY (7) Flashed home late into 2nd two runs back at Flemington. Always seems to find the line well. Should be in the finish. BEDFORD (5) Strong form third up winning 2 from 4 runs. Was all too good winning last run at Caulfield and should get going late. Should go close. MAHAMEDEIS (1) Good win last time at Caulfield and backs up quickly today. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Solid claims. MIRIMAR (4) Really dug deep when winning last start at Caulfield. Been in the money 6 from 7 attempts this preparation. Warrants a bet.

Race 8:
WINNING PARTNER (2) Got the upper hand late when winning two runs back at Murray Bridge and will try to take advantage of the gate. Drawn to sit just in behind the speed. Include in chances. BATTLE TORQUE (4) Nice show finishing 3rd last time at Caulfield and racing again inside a week. Should get a lovely cart into it from just behind the leaders. Will be in the finish. TATUNKA (5) Won two runs back at Bendigo and gets a nice run behind the speed. Going well this campaign. Respect. SILENT COMMAND (9) Fought on gamely when winning last run at this course and likely to race off the speed. Worth entertaining from a place and exotics perspective.

Race 9:
PROPER ROGUE (9) Having third run back from a spell. Really dug deep when winning three runs back at Flemington but bit of extra work to do with more weight today. Main hope. HYPERSONIC (19) Bold effort to win last run at Morphettville. Flawless this preparation with 2 wins from as many runs. Can get the job done. SEBRAKATE (2) Proven record when resuming with 2 wins from 4 attempts. Below par when 7th at Flemington. Does look suited today but going up in weight. Place hope. THERE YOU ARE (15) Left nothing to chance when winning last time at this venue and displays good tactical speed. Very strong each way claims.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
SPEED: 2, 4, 6, 8 with 7, 5 & 10 all handy. 9 & 3 can be up there also! CONDO’S EXPRESS was run down by BLOOD OATH in a recent jumpout but they both went well. Condo’s has only been beaten once here and that was in a stakes race. WAGNER ran on nicely her latest against the track bias and has been kept fresh. DEXELATION is genuine. SANTA CATARINA is a stakes winner in NZ. SIR KALAHAD bolted in last time. TITAN BLINDERS beat Bam’s On Fire fresh last prep. Jumpout: good. WILMOT PASS went to 1200m latest and won. Third-placed Sansom ran OK in the Bletchingly Stakes last week.
Selections: 10. Wilmot Pass (top tip), 7. Titan Blinders, 5. Condo’s Express, 1. Wagner

Race 7:
SPEED: 3, 2, 8 & 4. MAHAMEDEIS is back in trip on the quick back-up. He did the same thing two starts back but had no hope given the track pattern that day. He was heavily backed last week and too good at the weights. MIRIMAR beat SALSAMOR fair and square latest but is better on wetter for mine. Salsamor then faded at Flemington and POLLY GREY ran by him despite the moderate tempo. Polly Grey looks ready to win but if it’s a leaders’ track she’s in strife. SAVAHEAT and SIR PIPPIN did beat her at Flem. DANON ROMAN is suited at 2040m now. TAVIRUN won well latest. Can make a case for all these.
Selections: 7. Polly Grey (top tip), 1. Mahamedeis, 10. Sir Pippin, 6. Danon Roman

Race 8:
SPEED looks good with 9, 11, 14 plus 10 & 5 capable of being right there. 2, 4, 8, 15 can take trail(s)? WINNING PARTNER gave the winner 8kg last time and couldn’t reel him in, he ran well in an Adelaide Guineas at 1600m so this trip is no worries. BATTLE TORQUE is ready to win but needs luck now. TATUNKA is racing well and gets a good trail. All of SILENT COMMAND’s wins are on wet but he has run some good races on drier in handy company. Forget SURREAL IMAGE ran last time. On the Flemington run he can win this. SUKOOT and ALSVIN chances for sure.
Selections: 2. Winning Partner (top tip), 5. Tatunka, 11. Surreal Image, 9. Silent Command

Race 9:
Plenty of these (up to 10!) can go forward here! HYPERSONIC has looked good in two Adelaide wins and can measure up if they gain a start. SEBRAKATE was quickly spelled after the December flop. If he runs to that Vain Stakes second to Bivouac when fresh prior he will go close. No vision (fog!) of latest jumpout. PROPER ROGUE was good/luckless fresh then held on OK latest but I expected better. Third up here, drawn for a good run and can win. THERE YOU ARE won well last time on very wet. MONTENEGRO MAN improves lengths here drier!? Many other hopes. Good luck.
Selections: 19. Hypersonic (top tip), 2. Sebrakate, 9. Proper Rogue, 15. There You Are

Race 6:
KISS THE BRIDE (2) Charged home into 2nd last run around here. Going good enough to win this and a clear top pick. ORCEIN (5) Was fighting out the finish when winning three runs back at Rosehill. Should race just behind the speed. Keep in mind. NIGHT OF POWER (3) Got going late when 5th last start at Rosehill and gets a favourable gate. Deserves consideration. MONSIEUR SISU (7) Solid effort when winning two runs back at Canterbury and can save some energy from the gate. Will be positive in the run early. Strong each way bet.

Race 7:
BLACK MAGNUM (4) Generally strong second up with 2 wins from 4 starts. Crept into 4th last run here and will benefit with the weight drop. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Winning chance in this line up. SANGRIA (7) Game effort to win two runs back at Flemington and should race on the speed. Suitably placed in this race. INANUP (2) Having third run back from a spell. Landed the spoils when winning last start at Rosehill. Warrants a bet. BROKEN ARROWS (5) Really dug deep when winning last time at Eagle Farm and gets some weight taken off today. Contender.

Race 8:
FULMINA (4) Showed promise when winning two runs back at Rosehill. Tracking very well this campaign. Cannot underestimate. MONTEFILIA (10) Fought on gamely when winning three runs back at Newcastle and likely to race off the speed. No surprise to see a forward showing and one of the main hopes in this race. WORD FOR WORD (14) Really dug deep when winning three runs back at Rosehill. Will be looking to sit just behind the leaders. Good chance and wouldn’t be surprised to see it pick up a win. MONEGAL (1) Handy enough when winning three runs back at Rosehill. Should get going late. Has claims.

Race 9:
STEEL DIAMOND (5) Really dug deep when winning two runs back at Rosehill and going well this preparation. Likely to get a nice run behind the speed. Will go well. CHARRETERA (9) Produced an eye catching run when 3rd last run at Rosehill. Has the ability to figure. OFF SHAW (6) Game effort to win last start at Kembla Grange and won’t be far away during the run. Could go well. STELLA SEA SUN (1) Won narrowly two runs back here and third up from a break. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Hard to knock and looks a nice each way proposition.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
5, 6, 9 also in the previous. 10 was set to start favourite on Wednesday in a 1600m BM74. My tenuous map prediction is 9 leading from 2, 3 and 11. KISS THE BRIDE was beaten but far from disgraced a fortnight back and could have the chance to cross up outside the leader. Bursting to win. ORCEIN emerges from the same race, unless he wants to drop back to 1600m (R5). NIGHT OF POWER has been disappointing so far this prep. Does he want drier now or will an extra 300m and the likelihood of a cushy trail lift him to a winning mark.
Selections: 2. Kiss The Bride (top tip), 5. Orcein, 3. Night Of Power

Race 7:
More dual acceptors here. 8 and 9 were in on Wednesday, 11 at Wyong Friday. 7 to lead from 3. 11 and 8 handy if they show up. Good to see Tom Sherry staying on BLACK MAGNUM after being badly baulked a fortnight ago. Will have the chance to keep things nice and simple today and I’m saying the pattern should suit him. Great chance to make amends. That said, INANUP is flying and apprentice Brock Ryan has some winning history with the horse. The form from his last start held up well last week (Poetic Charmer, Prime Candidate) and Kordia is in earlier to frank it further. Not sure SANGRIA on the wet.
Selections: 2. Inanup (top tip), 4. Black Magnum, 6. Grimoire, 7. Sangria

Race 8:
11 and 8 provide the pace. Expecting 2 and 5 to be much closer today. MONEGAL draws deep and will likely give a start as per usual. That approach will be fine I think and expect to see her challenging strongly out wide. She has come back so well! FULMINA reverts to 1800m after a battling effort three weeks ago. Claims right down to an attractive weight and draws to trail ideally. MONTEFILIA the new 3YO and her latest finish caught the eye of all who viewed it. Relatively promising over a trip and therefore a sharp leap to 1800m might be something she can cope with.
Selections: 1. Monegal (top tip), 4. Fulmina, 10. Montefilia, 7. Le Lude

Race 9:
On a day when all races but the field of seven (R3) contained dual acceptors let’s keep it going for the last. Key runner (THREEOOD) was entered for Wednesday and 11 is in earlier today. I think 6 and 12 sort out the front, maybe CHALK has a say and maybe THREEOOD too if here. I’m also of the view CHARRETERA might set up much closer today. MISS REDOBLE had the dreaded cardiac arrhythmia last start and has been back to trial. Even though her opposition was nothing flash she could do more than win the hitout as she did (by about 11L). I’ll have her each-way over STEEL DIAMOND, a mare holding great form this prep. CHARRETERA just loves a minor placing.
Selections: 7. Miss Redoble (top tip), 5. Steel Diamond, 9. Charretera, 1. Stella Sea Sun
