Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 6:
MOZZIE MONSTER (4) Thrashed the field when winning last time at Bendigo but up in class. Should land a nice spot just off the speed. Flying this campaign with 2 wins from as many runs. Strong claims. AIDENSFIELD (2) Second up. Ran away with a win two runs back at Sandown. Big danger. AGREEABLE (6) Chimed in with a win three runs back at Geelong and expected to be flashing home. Winnable race. HINDAAM (12) Having second run back from a break. Had a comfortable win last start at Pakenham but facing a stronger grade today. Marginal hopes.

Race 7:
ORDEROFTHEGARTER (9) Ran on strongly when 2nd last start at this venue and third up. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. One of the main dangers. DR DRILL (3) Having second run back from a spell. Fought on well to win three runs back at Scone. Expect to go close. GAME KEEPER (14) Was fighting out the finish when winning three runs back at Flemington and third up from a spell. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Consider an each way bet. KINANE (18) Produced an eye catching run when 3rd three runs back at Eagle Farm and shows very good finishing speed. Worth keeping safe.

Race 8:
BEHEMOTH (1) Nice effort when winning last start at this track and shows good closing speed. Hasn’t put a foot wrong this campaign with 2 wins from as many starts. Include in all exotics. AGE OF CHIVALRY (11) Tidy effort when 3rd last time at Moonee Valley and won’t be far away during the run. Don’t leave out of trifectas. TAGALOA (15) Second up from a break. Honest race when 3rd last start around here and gets a reduction in weight. A win wouldn’t surprise. BANQUO (16) Third up. Displayed good finishing speed when 2nd last time at Flemington and hard to fault at this distance. Market watch advised and can run into the money.

Race 9:
LYRE (6) Snuck in a place when 2nd last run here and can go through the gears. Likely to be first past the post. FELICIA (12) Won by a huge margin two runs back at the track and displays good tactical speed. Worth consideration. HUMMA HUMMA (2) Having second run back from a break. Solid win two runs back at Morphettville. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Should take beating. MISSILE MANTRA (8) Having second run back from a spell. Faded to finish 14th last time at this venue. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Exotics hope in this event.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
Not sure speedmap: Fancy 1, 2 go forward this time. 10, 12 likely up there. AIDENSFIELD came wide with no trail at MV fresh and kept closing. She was the best run in that race and it rated well. Her last 200m was faster than that of AGREEABLE but that filly is desperate for 1400m here and can win. ODEUM had plenty against her that same race. MOZZIE MONSTER and HINDAAM look handy! Hindaam’s debut second to Incredulous Dream ties in: that filly ran OK behind Aidensfield at MV. MALICORNE ditto.
Selections: 2. Aidensfield (top tip), 6. Agreeable, 4. Mozzie Monster, 12. Hindaam

Race 7:
15 leads 10, 12 with 3, 13, 14. KINANE is desperate for 2000m. It was a tough day to come wide/swoop at Randwick 2nd up and hence a race of little change. His closing splits were good. Many of these come through the Heatherlie and IN GOOD HEALTH was brave winning at odds. Runner-up Sircconi then nearly won Feehan. GAME KEEPER was third and good given he was 1200-to-1700m 2nd up. DR DRILL made nice ground in a mostly on-pace race. HAKY needs 2000m at least. STEEL PRINCE was race-fastest last 200m. DABIYR cost himself at MV. Form ties in ORDEROFTHEGARTER, POLLY GREY. MAHAMEDEIS to 2000m can win.
Selections: 18. Kinane (top tip), 9. Orderofthegarter, 14. Game Keeper, 3. Dr Drill

Race 8:
Good speed: 3, 6 with 2, 10 & 16. 11, 1 handy. BEHEMOTH won fast G1 Memsie at WFA and maps for good trail again. Never easy 60kg. CASCADIAN was excellent behind him after being slow out and forced wide. If jumps clean can get good run! 3YO Glenfiddich ran third so that makes case for TAGALOA but he has 3kg above WFA. Love to see him ridden colder! SUPERSTORM is no 1100m horse so he was good fresh against the sprinters. In that All-Star Mile he beat home Fierce Impact, Melody Belle. BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER set fast +4.7L tempo in Memsie and won this last year beating AGE OF CHIVALRY. BANQUO can win.
Selections: 5. Superstorm (value bet), 4. Cascadian, 16. Banquo, 1. Behemoth

Race 9:
SPEED: 9, 3, 12 + 11 with 5, 10 handy. Keen on LYRE here back to her own sex out to 1200m. Thought she was a touch unlucky fresh when unable to quicken through a tight gap, the last time she was at 1200m she was charging home behind Trekking and Gytrash in a Goodwood. HUMMA HUMMA covered ground and wasn’t far off Lyre fresh. BROADWAYANDFOURTH was a forgive run fresh. On her Euclase Stakes fourth she ties in (runner-up Garner split Lyre/Humma Humma here fresh). That ties in I AM ELOQUENT. MISSILE MANTRA was a total forgive run fresh also: stays 1200m? BONS ABROAD and FIESTA hopes.
Selections: 6. Lyre (best of the day), 2. Humma Humma, 8. Missile Mantra, 4. Broadwayandfourth

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 4:
HUNGRY HEART (3) Solid effort when winning three runs back at the track and second up. Should land a nice spot just off the speed. This looks promising. DAME GISELLE (1) Really dug deep when winning last run at this venue and third up. Strong form this campaign winning 2 from as many starts. Sure to be thereabouts again. MONTEFILIA (8) Back from a freshen up. Won last time at Rosehill but goes up in weight today. Looks set to run a place. THERMOSPHERE (5) Managed to run into 2nd two runs back around here but likely to get back in the run. Worth at least a place bet in this race.

Race 5:
PROBABEEL (5) Strong record when second up with 2 wins from 3 attempts. Caught the eye when 2nd last start at this venue and always seems to find the line well. Hard to dismiss. RELOADED (7) Displayed good finishing speed when 3rd last start at this track and second up from a break. Drawn to sit just in behind the speed. Must be considered. ROHERYN (8) Got the upper hand late when winning last time at this course. Likely to race off the speed. Should be very competitive and is a genuine threat. THE CANDY MAN (4) Having second run back from a break. Fought on well to win last start at Eagle Farm and should race just behind the speed. Chance in this field so include in exotics.

Race 6:
VERRY ELLEEGANT (6) Was fighting out the finish when winning last start around here and races well second up. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Carries plenty of appeal. AVILIUS (1) Proven record when second up with 3 wins from 6 attempts. Came on strongly to finish 3rd two runs back at Rosehill and always seems to find the line well. Key hope. DREAMFORCE (2) Game effort to win last time at this venue and will be positive in the run early. Expect to go close. IMAGING (4) Managed to run into 3rd two runs back at Rosehill and having third run back from a spell. Should be swooping on the field late. Has some strong credentials in this race.

Race 7:
BIVOUAC (1) Was strong on the speed before fading to finish 3rd three runs back at Moonee Valley but first up from a break. Should get a lovely cart into it from just behind the leaders. Inclined to respect any betting moves and presents good prospects. CLASSIQUE LEGEND (3) Got the upper hand late when winning last time at this venue but resumes from a spell. Likely to get a nice run behind the speed. Has to be included. CATALYST (2) Proven record when resuming with 2 wins from 3 attempts. Scored a victory three runs back at Ellerslie and can save some energy from the alley. Include in all exotics. EDUARDO (5) Nice effort when winning last run at Rosehill and shows good early pace. Going well this campaign winning 2 from as many attempts. Among better hopes.

Race 8:
SHARED AMBITION (9) Proven record when third up with 2 wins from 3 starts. Hit the line well when 3rd three runs back at this track and finishes off strongly. Appears well in this. ANGEL OF TRUTH (1) Third up. Showed a good turn of foot when 2nd two runs back around here. Looks a good chance of finishing in the money. ZEBROWSKI (14) Rocketed home into 2nd three runs back at the track and possesses very good closing speed. Don’t leave out of trifectas. KINANE (20) Stormed home when 3rd three runs back at Eagle Farm and should get going late. Can be competitive.

Race 7: Classique Legend, saving on Standout
Race 8: Shared Ambition

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 4:
5, 11, 12 accepted elsewhere. Expecting 6 to lead 10 with 11 and 1 next in line. HUNGRY HEART took a little while to get into her best work when resuming but she pulled ground off DAME GISELLE really quite impressively over the last furlong and it looks as though the 1400m is exactly what she wants at this stage of the game. Can’t be a knock on GISELLE. Sat deep and still kicked strongly last time. I am factoring in VANGELIC as a winning hope too, pending her getting some beneficial sectionals during the race. THERMOSPHERE (also in at Caulfield) draws no better than she did last start. She’s going well but giving some of these others a start is not easy.
Selections: 3. Hungry Heart (top tip), 1. Dame Giselle, 6. Vangelic, 2. Stellar Pauline

Race 5:
1, 3, 4, 5, 10 all accepted for the Cameron at Newcastle on Friday (and were numbers 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10 in that race as well! Does anybody else get a kick out of these things??). 8 is in at Caulfield, and NUDGE has other options too. So let’s expect this to be diminished somewhat. As things stand there’s pace from 3 and 12 with 2 and 1 in behind. It was hard to miss PROBABEEL’s blistering finish first-up. Given the barriers, can she settle ahead of ROHERYN today? BRANDENBURG looked to be just fair first-up and has been back to trial (with PROBABEEL) and was……just fair. Is he back near his best? It’s a legitimate question but as even as he was in the Winx, he did beat home Dreamforce, Kolding and Master of Wine.
Selections: 5. Probabeel (top tip), 2. Brandenburg, 7. Reloaded, 8. Roheryn

Race 6:
A small but very select field this one and I reckon there’s no standout pick. Only three trainers involved. DREAMFORCE (with a minor change of headgear today) can lead without fuss. He was 2nd in this race last year and won the George Ryder 3rd-up last prep so it’s hard to say he’s not well credentialed. That said, I’m with a horse that hasn’t won since defeating DREAMFORCE (easily) in this race 12 months ago. AVILIUS produced wonderful figures late from a barrier that got him way out the back. The expectation is again that he’ll again be at or near the tail but I’m expecting him to fly. VERRY ELLEEGANT was awesome first-up as well and she could potentially settle relatively handy. That is Fierce Impact form and obviously means IMAGING and STAR OF THE SEAS are right there as well.
Selections: 1. Avilius (top tip), 6. Verry Elleegant, 5. Star Of The Seas, 4. Imaging

Race 7:
4 and 5 to scoot forward from the outside half. What does BIVOUAC do from right out there? Though he normally doesn’t lead as such (only once in fact), we have seen him camp outside the leader on quite a few occasions. It will take some planning, especially with Bowman aboard after what happened with Farnan last week. EDUARDO is at Randwick first time but he has won two lesser sprints quite stylishly and I’m banking on him to kick on strong here as well. Won a September 8 trial nicely for Nash. CLASSIQUE LEGEND won last start when well below full fitness. He’ll want to be closer to the mark for this.
Selections: 5. Eduardo (value bet), 1. Bivouac, 3. Classique Legend, 10. Dirty Work

Race 8:
Waller had 15 of 34 noms and ends up with 9 of the 21 acceptors. 6 and 5 the obvious leaders. TAIKOMOCHI can run a minor placing (3:5:3 from his latest 18) but he is not one that easily gives up and that fight will keep him in good stead when they come for him here over the last 300m. Within a couple of lengths of Mugatoo recently and that horse would be at the top of this market I think (as he is for Friday’s Newcastle Cup). ANGEL OF TRUTH settled further back than I expected last time. Wasn’t far off Finche and Avilius at the end which is good form to bring to this. From the same race SHARED AMBITION offered strong late sectionals but may have to get way back from this draw again.
Selections: 6. Taikomochi (top tip), 1. Angel Of Truth, 9. Shared Ambition, 10. Sikandarabad
