Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
SHOALS Unbeaten in three runs in her first preparation and a stakes winner at Moonee Valley resuming. Worked home solidly in the Thousand Guineas prelude last start. Expected to be closer in the run with the blinkers on for the first time and right in the mix. ALIZEE Has produced exceptional figures winning the Tea Rose and Flight Stakes last two. Has really hit her straps and the one to beat again.LEATHER’N’LACE Won three on the trot before being run down when third in the Edward Manifold last start at first run at the trip. Rates a place chance with the experience over the journey.BOOKER Yet to miss a place in five starts and twice a winner including the Thousand Guineas Prelude last start. Likely to cross and get an uncontested lead. Will take plenty of running down

Race 7:
HARTNELL Won the PB Lawrence resuming and runner-up last two. Looking for the 2000m now and gets chance to return to the winner’s list. BONNEVAL Made it six wins on the trot and both runs this time in with a comfortable win in the Underwood last start. Still scope for improvement third-up and the one to beat again. GAILO CHOP Battled on well finishing just over a length from the winner in the Underwood las start. Has won five races at 2000m including the Mackinnon Cup Week 2016. Right in the mix. ABBEY MARIE Well beaten in the Naturalism last start but stays under notice on runner-up finish at Moonee Valley two runs back, chance to place.

Race 8:
ROYAL SYMPHONY Won first four starts before working home solidly in the Guineas Prelude recording solid late sectionals. Looking for the step up to the mile and one of the key chances.CATCHY Blue Diamond winner last preparation. Won the Danehill two runs back before hitting the line strongly in the Thousand Guineas Prelude. Looking for the mile and expected to be right in the finish, still in this. KEMENTARI Randwick winner in two runs in his first preparation and close up both runs this time in including a third in the Guineas Prelude last start. Looking for the step up in distance and still plenty of scope for improvement SANCTIONED Far from convinced he has run out the trip last two in the Gloaming and Spring Champion Stakes. Right in play back to the mile.

Race 9:
EGG TART Unbeaten in five runs last preparation including Group 1 victories at Morphettville and Doomben. Worked home solidly when resuming at Rosehill. Fitter second-up and right in the mix. I AM A STAR Won the Stocks Stakes this trip at Moonee valley last start. Awkward gate to overcome but can place with any sort of luck. OMEI SWORD Best run this time in when third in the Golden Pendant at Rosehill last start and the form from the race subsequently franked. Still to be proven at the trip but a 5kg weight drop keeps her in the mix. COMIN’ THROUGH Won successive races at Randwick before having no luck in the Epsom last start. Drawn to advantage and set to bounce back.

Race 10:
SHEIDEL Run down late when third in the Moir last start. The Oakleigh Plate winner this track and distance last preparation and ideally placed here. The one to beat. HELLBENT Close up both runs this time in at Moonee Valley and Caulfield. Should be right at his peak and goes in all the exotics. LANKAN RUPEE Eight weeks between runs after being well beaten at Morphettville. Would win this easily if anywhere near best but whether he can find that is a genuine question. FIRST AMONG EQUALS Having first run for Darren Weir. Resumes from a let-up without a trial. Has an excellent fresh record and respecting any betting moves.

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
BIG DUKE Hit the line strongly when runner-up in the Metrop last start. That looks the form reference for this and is a winner at the track and distance. Gets the chance to go one better. LIBRAN Won the Kinston Town here two runs back and wasn?t far from the winner in the Metrop last start. Is a winner this track and distance and rates as one of the key chances here. CHOCANTE Battled on well when third in the Metrop last start. Will seetle first three in running and expected to be in the finish again. WHO SHOT THEBARMAN Has finished on the placegetters heels last two including the Metrop last start. Should be at his peak and ready to win.

Race 7:
BONNY O’REILLY Hasn?t had much luck last couple after winning at Rosehill this trip resuming. Drawn to get all the favours in the run from a good gate and can bounce back. IMPENDING Resumes on the back of a Randwick trial placing. Has won first-up previoulsy but faces a tough task after a car park barrier draw. IN HER TIME

Race 8:
CHAUTAUQUA Has run solid closing sectionals both runs this time in but just too far back. Electrifying winning The TJ Smith this track and distance last preparation and the winner if he repeats that here but whether he can the obvious question. SHE WILL REIGN The Golden Slipper winner last preparation and charged home late for an impressive win in the Moir at Moonnee Valley resuming. Drawn to get the gun run behind the speed and a genuine winning chance. DEPLOY Putting togther an excellent record with eight wins from 16 starts including a soft all the way win in the Theo Marks last start. Should settle first three and a genuine winning chance. HOUTZEN Returned to winning form in the Scarborough at Moonee Valley last start. Started favourite in the Golden Slipper in the Autumn but thwarted by a wide gate and heavy track. Gets all the favours from the inside gate and rates as one of the key chances.

Race 9:
HAPPY CLAPPER Broke through for a deserved Group I win in the Epsom last start. Still to be proven at the trip but gets every chance to run it out with a soft run from the inside gate. CLASSIC UNIFORM Controlled the speed to lead all the way in the Hill Stakes last start. Likely to have some friends on the speed here and drawn. Will find this signifciantly harder. MCCREERY Well beaten all three runs this time in but has won this trip and ready to do something. STAR EXHIBIT Lost the rider at Moonee Valley two runs back and held up at a vital time last start. Capable of improving sharply.

Race 10:
Anticipating a truly run race so don?t rule out backmarkers. MACHINEGUN JUBS Resumes on the back of a Randwick trial placing, genuine contender. FOX TALES Wagga winner three runs back and placed last start at Canterbury after working in the run. Can get into the placings again.
