Newcastle vs. West Ham

Over 2.5 goals at 2.01 (bet365)

Both sides have been scoring freely of late. Newcastle scored twice in each of their last two games while West Ham scored three times in each of their last three fixtures. At the same time, neither side has been defensively strong. Newcastle conceded a total of six goals in their last three games while West Ham conceded seven. Each of the last four meetings between the two at St. James’ Park went over 2.5 goals.

West Ham to lead at halftime at 2.62 (bet365)

West Ham have been jumping out of the blocks quickly of late, before conceding second half goals. In each of their last three games they raced out to a 3-0 lead before conceding two or three goals. Newcastle, in contrast, scored the final goal(s) in their last two fixtures.

West Ham +0.5 at 1.30 (bet365)

West Ham have gone 4-1-0 as the away favourite over the last 12 months while Newcastle have won just 1 of their last 8. West Ham’s last seven defeats were all against top-ten sides.

Wolves vs. Sheffield United

Wolves in the head-to-head at 1.70 (Unibet)

Much like my bet last week, this is simply a bet against Sheffield United. The Blades have lost 8 of their last 9 games and they have only scored two goals in their last 8 fixtures. Sheffield United have gone 1-1-16 as the away underdog over the last 12 months. Since parting ways with manager Chris Wilder they have been outscored by 10 goals to 1 in three games.

Arsenal vs. Fulham

Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.75 (Unibet)

Arsenal have won six straight against Fulham. The Gunners’ last five wins over the Cottagers were by 2+ goal margins and their last three wins over Fulham were by 3+ goals. The visitors limp into this fixture on a four-game losing streak. Three of those defeats were to sides below Arsenal on the table.

Chelsea vs. Brighton

Chelsea in the head-to-head at 1.57 (Sportsbet)
Chelsea to win to nil at 2.50 (bet365)

Brighton have gone 0-1-6 against Chelsea since promotion and they have gone 0-0-3 at Stamford Bridge without scoring a goal. Out of Chelsea’s 11 home wins over the last twelve months, 8 were to nil.

Tottenham vs. Southampton

Tottenham in the head-to-head at 1.70 (Unibet)

Tottenham have gone 9-3-2 in the head-to-head over the last twelve months and they have gone 8-0-1 in their last nine home meetings with Southampton. The visitors limp into this fixture having lost 10 of their last 14 games. The Saints lost 3-0 to West Brom last week in a game where the Baggies were controversially not awarded a fourth goal.

Aston Villa vs. Man City

Man City in the head-to-head at 1.40 (bet365)

Man City suffered a shock defeat to Leeds last round, but City have gone 5-1-0 on the back of a defeat over the last 12 months. They have won nine straight on the road and they have won four straight against Aston Villa.
