At the time of writing the biggest Draftstars contest for this round is the $70,000 competition for the Thursday night clash between Brisbane and Collingwood. Entry costs $15 and the top 25% of participants will receive a payout.

Brisbane

Brisbane vs. Collingwood

Collingwood

Few would have predicted that both sides would be winless coming into this fixture. I will side with Brisbane due to their home record. The Lions have gone 13-1 at home over the last twelve months and they have won four consecutive home fixtures against Collingwood. All eight of the Pies’ defeats over the last twelve months were by 1-39 points, so I would back Brisbane 1-39 at 2.15 (Dabble).

North Melbourne

North Melbourne vs. Carlton

Carlton

Carlton should win this but I fancy North Melbourne at the line. The Kangaroos have covered 9 of 11 at at Marvel Stadium over the last twelve months. Eight of their ten home defeats over the last twelve months were by 1-39 margins and the same can be said for six of their last seven defeats to Carlton. I would back Carlton 1-39 at 2.30 (Dabble).

Fremantle

Fremantle vs. Adelaide

Adelaide

Adelaide have a poor 1-6 record as the away underdog over the last twelve months. They have also lost four of the last five games as the underdog against Fremantle. Eleven of Adelaide’s twelve defeats over the last twelve months were by 1-39 margins, so I would back Fremantle 1-39 at 2.14 (Unibet).

Richmond

Richmond vs. Sydney

Sydney

Richmond have made a 0-3 start to the season with two of their defeats coming at the MCG. Sydney have made a 3-0 start to the season and that includes a win over Collingwood at the ‘G. Spanning this season and the last, the Tigers have failed to cover the line in four consecutive home games, while the Swans have covered the line in four consecutive away games. Five of Richmond’s six home defeats over the last twelve months were by 1-39 margins, while six of Sydney’s seven away wins were by the same margin. I would back Sydney 1-39 at 2.08 (Dabble).
